MUSIC AT NATIVITY

Music At Nativity draws on the rich variety of classical, Anglican and Christian traditions.

We make beautiful, singable music on our Karl Wilhelm freestanding pipe organ and our new Kawai grand piano. We sing hymns from the 1982 Episcopal hymnal, along with selections from other Christian sources, including gospel, folk, and Gregorian Chant. Our Music Director, Juliana Witt, plays our instruments and directs our choirs, who provide liturgical leadership for our worship service each week.  For more information about music at Nativity, please contact Juliana.

Our church hosts a wonderful concert series that attracts a passionate group of music aficionados from a variety of backgrounds. 2018-2019 is the fourth season of Arts at Nativity! As in the previous years we are mixing old and new, classical music of the West and East with folk and jazz. We are thrilled to announce that we secured some of the finest, most recognized and internationally acclaimed artists from the Valley.

NATIVITY CHOIR

It is the core of the music ministry and an extremely energetic group of parishioners who are passionate about music and singing.

It has been leading the congregation since Nativity began and has a history of outstanding musical leadership. The music performed by the choir represents a variety of styles: including classical, contemporary, folk, gospel, Gregorian chant and music newly written for the Nativity Choir. We practice on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and sing at the 10:00 a.m. service each Sunday (with 9 a.m. warm-up).  Please contact our Music Director, Juliana Witt, for an audition.
