CENTERING PRAYER
Centering Prayer is a way of cultivating a deeper relationship with God through a period of intentional silence
This practice of silence quiets the mind to allow the practitioner to make space in a busy life to rest in God beyond thoughts, words and emotions. At Nativity, our group of spiritual companions meets weekly in the Youth Room for about an hour and a half. Our purpose in meeting is to encourage each other in our individual faith practices, to access additional spiritual input through multimedia and written resources and to afford an opportunity for seekers to pray, listen and share reflections, as individuals are comfortable in so doing, of their personal spiritual journeys.
All seekers are welcome. The group is facilitated by Deacon Martha Durham. Email her for more information at MarthaDurham@thenativity.net
